AEP’s Development Camp serves as the foundation of the goaltending evolution. Goaltenders based on age and skill level are grouped together to work and push each other. This structure allows the each goaltender to collaborate with goaltenders of similar abilities and as a result acts as catalyst to produce a healthy competitive environment with their respective counterparts, something that benefits all goaltenders. During the camp the goaltenders will receive over 12 hours goalie specific training working with highly experienced coaches and well versed shooters. Our staff understands the basic fundamentals and intricate details that are required to teach the toughest position in sports and our commitment is to pass down such knowledge.
During AEP’s Development Camp, goalies will progress through the foundations of goaltending starting with the structure our their stance, edgework and skating, and detailed tracking to the details of game situations including puck playing, screens and tips, and advanced in zone and net play.
